<p style="text-align: justify;">Scuba diving is an attractive and exciting hobby for many adventure seekers around the world that brings them to the wonders of underwater life, promising a truly thrilling experience full of extreme and crazy moments. It becomes more and more popular water sport year after year with new and new diving centers and amazing dive sites being opened in different corners of the world.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><a href="http://www.dailyscubadiving.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/scuba_diving_accident.jpg" rel="lightbox[3821]"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-3822" title="scuba_diving_accident" src="http://www.dailyscubadiving.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/scuba_diving_accident.jpg" alt="" width="450" height="310" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">As with all exhilarating sports, there are a few accidents that can occur while scuba diving. And while scuba is normally a safe and fun activity, it can be extremely dangerous if you do not know the rules of diving.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">An accident that happened in Piti Monday is a real shock and the death wouldn’t happen if the diver knew some simple rules of diving.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><a href="http://www.dailyscubadiving.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/diving.jpg" rel="lightbox[3821]"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-3823" title="diving" src="http://www.dailyscubadiving.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/diving.jpg" alt="" width="450" height="310" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">As Guam’s medical examiner informed, a tourist killed in a diving in Piti Monday died from air embolism – a catastrophic event, which occurs as a consequence of the entry of air into the vasculature.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Medical examiner Doctor Aurelio Espinola mentioned that he found air Ryota Yoshikubo’s circulatory system which he thought could have come from the diver holding his breath.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Lee Weber, the president of Micronesian Diver’s Association said that it was really unfortunate. The tourist was not diving with MDA Company.  Webber also explained how could the accident happen and mentioned that an air bubble can form in case a diver breathing compressed air under three feet of water, holds his breath and very quickly ascends.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">This kind of death is not very common in scuba diving history, and even the beginners are taught never to hold their breath.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><a href="http://www.dailyscubadiving.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/Scuba-Diving.jpg" rel="lightbox[3821]"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-3824" title="Scuba-Diving" src="http://www.dailyscubadiving.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/Scuba-Diving.jpg" alt="" width="450" height="310" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Till now authorities haven’t found out what the company the tourist was diving with was. According to Pacific Daily News, Outhouse Beach is mostly used by dive companies to teach beginners scuba diving lessons.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Scuba diving is known to be a safe water sport but sometimes various accidents can happen that may even bring to fatalities. Sometimes divers are attacked by sharks, sometimes they are not so professional and don’t have enough knowledge to know how to behave during the diving.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The accident that happened on January 24 in the Boracay Island, Philippines doesn’t have any connection to the above mentioned things but the fact is that the 28-year old Swiss national Martia Josefina Elsehner is no longer alive.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><a href="http://www.dailyscubadiving.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/puca-beach-boracay-island-philippines.jpg" rel="lightbox[3765]"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-3766" title="puca-beach-boracay-island-philippines" src="http://www.dailyscubadiving.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/puca-beach-boracay-island-philippines.jpg" alt="" width="450" height="334" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">According to the local police officials report, the victim was diving with her fiancé and three friends at a fine dive site in Manoc Manoc Village. Oliver Keller, her fiancé was with her when Elsehner complained of stomachache. The group immediately suspended the activities and took her to the nearest Boracay District Hospital, where, after some time, the doctors pronounced Elsehner dead.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><a href="http://www.dailyscubadiving.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/Boracay-Divers.jpg" rel="lightbox[3765]"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-3767" title="Boracay  Divers" src="http://www.dailyscubadiving.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/Boracay-Divers.jpg" alt="" width="450" height="334" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Nobody knows the true reason why the girl died, but to avoid being suspected of foul play, Keller requested for an autopsy. Elsehner’s body is laid in a nearby funeral home.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">On January 13 a tragedy made all the people of the world concentrate on the Italian Costa Concordia ship. The ship, which had 4,200 passengers, including the staff, went down near the island of Giglio in the Tyrrhenian Sea late at night, taking many people’s lives.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><a href="http://www.dailyscubadiving.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/Italy-ship-disaster.jpg" rel="lightbox[3735]"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-3738" title="Italy ship disaster" src="http://www.dailyscubadiving.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/Italy-ship-disaster.jpg" alt="" width="450" height="300" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Just after the disaster, many Italian scuba divers began the underwater search and rescue work. They evacuated over four thousand passengers and crew aboard, but still there are many missing. On Tuesday, Cristiano Pellegrini announced that 5 more corpses were found in the stern of the wreck, but the divers could not say if they were passengers or members of the crew.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><a href="http://www.dailyscubadiving.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/costa-concordia-cruise-ship-disaster.jpg" rel="lightbox[3735]"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-3739" title="costa-concordia-cruise-ship-disaster" src="http://www.dailyscubadiving.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/costa-concordia-cruise-ship-disaster.jpg" alt="" width="450" height="300" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">In order to take these bodies, scuba divers used explosives to blow holes in the ship to enter and look for possible survivors or bodies.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The continuing day and night quests give us a hope that the divers&#8217; work will not be in vain and the missing people will be found.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><a href="http://www.dailyscubadiving.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/costa-concordia-cruise-ship.jpg" rel="lightbox[3735]"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-3740" title="costa-concordia-cruise-ship" src="http://www.dailyscubadiving.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/costa-concordia-cruise-ship.jpg" alt="" width="450" height="253" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The divers do their best in exploring the territory and finding useful information that will help experts learn exactly what exactly happened.</p>

<p>Diving in Sharm El Sheikh The Egyptian resort area of Sharm el Sheikh is blessed with intense natural beauty. Here, the picturesque sandy beaches are lapped by cool, clear water. This area started life as a traditional fishing village and has developed into one of the most popular and enchanting diving destinations in the world.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.dailyscubadiving.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/SharmElSheikh.jpg" rel="lightbox[3604]"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-3606" title="Sharm El Sheikh" src="http://www.dailyscubadiving.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/SharmElSheikh.jpg" alt="" width="480" height="314" /></a></p>
<p>The water here is particularly transparent and is home to a whole host of colorful coral reefs and marine life. Both novice scuba divers and those who are experienced are sure to be in their element here, as the waters are mild. Boat trips to the numerous daytrips are available all year round from Sharm el Sheik, and trips can be arranged from most of the major resorts and hotels. Visitors who choose to explore the eatery underworld of the Red Sea will have the chance to admire over 1,000 <a href="http://www.dailyscubadiving.com/most-dangerous-marine-animals-of-red-sea/">different species of fish.</a></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-3607" title="scuba-red-sea" src="http://www.dailyscubadiving.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/scuba-red-sea.jpg" alt="" width="500" height="375" /></p>
<p>There are more than 2,000 kilometers of reef to enjoy, and this is one of the world’s most bio-diverse seas. The Red Sea is also one of the saltiest bodies of water, which is due to the rapid evaporation rate of the water here. People who enjoy wreck diving will be in for a real treat. There are a lot of companies that you can go wreck diving with and some of them take you to the <a href="http://www.ssthistlegorm.com/">SS Thistlegorm</a>. This once lifeless wreck has become a playground for marine animals such as sharks and barracudas, which can be seen in abundance. The Ras Mohammed Natural Park is another great place to explore and can be found at the Sinai Peninsula’s southern tip.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.dailyscubadiving.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/ras-mohammed-dive-sites.jpg" rel="lightbox[3604]"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-3605" title="ras mohammed dive sites" src="http://www.dailyscubadiving.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/ras-mohammed-dive-sites.jpg" alt="" width="471" height="315" /></a></p>
<p>This watery wonderland was established back in 1983 in order to protect the fragile environment and coral reefs of the area. The vibrant colours of the reefs here are matched only by the fish that swim in amongst them. Bright orange and white striped clown fish love to make their homes here, while fish of just about every other colour and shade imaginable can also be found here. People who enjoy messing about in the water will also be able to take part in a wide range of other types of water sports as well. Most companies that offer scuba diving trips also cater for snorkelers, and snorkelling is a great way to catch a quick glimpse of this endlessly enchanting world. Water sports such as kayaking, windsurfing and wakeboarding are also popular here. Visitors that can bear to tear themselves away from the beach and cool waters for a while will soon discover that <a href="http://www.redseaholidays.co.uk/sharmelsheikhthingstodo">Sharm el Sheik</a> also offers plenty of other exciting attractions.</p>
<p>People who have a strong sense of adventure are sure to enjoy riding quad bikes through the Sinai desert. This is also a great place to go camel trekking or horse riding. People who want to let off a little steam can head on over to the Fun Town amusement park. This establishment is packed full of entertainment options, including an ice rink and vibrant casino. However, visitors will want to make sure that they return to the coast in the early evening to watch the sun slowly sink behind the horizon.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Have you ever imagined having a <a href="http://www.dailyscubadiving.com/learn-to-dive/" target="_blank">scuba diving lesson</a> at school, which will give you the unique chance to get pleasure and learn to dive at the same time? Some 100 creative 7th grade students in the College Station Middle School took a scuba diving lesson at the school’s natatorium on Wednesday.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><a href="http://www.dailyscubadiving.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/diving-classes.jpg" rel="lightbox[3609]"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-3610" title="diving classes" src="http://www.dailyscubadiving.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/diving-classes.jpg" alt="" width="464" height="310" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">This was part of their class project and the students not only had a hands-on exercise, but also learned many <a href="http://www.dailyscubadiving.com/what-you-need-to-know-before-you-go-scuba-diving/" target="_blank">secrets about diving</a>, taught by Leslie Kurtz, their science teacher and some local diving experts. Particularly, the students learned how to breathe underwater and the main important things beginners should know by all means.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Leslie Kurtz mentions that the local Scuba diving company talked with the students about diving; the students got a chance to watch a video and learned a lot about what can happen when underwater. After making notes and asking a lot of questions, they were given the chance to practice the knowledge they got and see how it feels underwater.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><a href="http://www.dailyscubadiving.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/diving.jpg" rel="lightbox[3609]"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-3611" title="diving" src="http://www.dailyscubadiving.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/01/diving.jpg" alt="" width="450" height="310" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">From now on, the remaining seventh grade students will take Scuba diving lessons on Thursday and Friday.</p>

Below are some of the best winter dive destinations sure to leave you breathless!</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><a href="http://www.dailyscubadiving.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/diving-in-winter.jpg" rel="lightbox[3517]"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-3519" title="OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA" src="http://www.dailyscubadiving.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/diving-in-winter.jpg" alt="" width="400" height="300" /></a></p>
<h2 style="text-align: justify;">Maldives</h2>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Colorful water with diverse marine life in a sunny and cool environment is what awaits you in Maldives atolls in winter. This stunning tropical paradise warmly welcomes divers from all over the world to take part in exclusive whale shark safaris, which are very attractive in winter. Winter diving in Maldives is ideal for advanced divers looking for underwater photography and drift dives. Maldives offers amazing diving in North Male Atoll, where diving sites are characterized by wonderful coral reefs, drop-offs, caves and marine life. Get ready to interact with plenty of sharks and mantas. <a href="http://www.dailyscubadiving.com/scuba-diving-in-maldives-2/" target="_blank">Maldives</a> normally enjoys the best visibility between December and March.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><a href="http://www.dailyscubadiving.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/Maldives.jpg" rel="lightbox[3517]"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-3521" title="Maldives" src="http://www.dailyscubadiving.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/Maldives.jpg" alt="" width="400" height="300" /></a></p>
<h2 style="text-align: justify;">Belize</h2>
<p style="text-align: justify;">From Ambergris Caye to the dedicated out-island dive resorts; ‘Island Dreams’ brings you the best of Belize. <a href="http://www.dailyscubadiving.com/belize%E2%80%99s-great-blue-hole-is-it-really-worth-diving/" target="_blank">Belize</a> is home to the second largest Barrier Reef in the world, stretching over 170 miles long from north to south and to three of the four atolls in the Caribbean. If you want to explore the virgin untouched environment of Belize’s Barrier Reef to your heart’s content, plan a winter diving vacation and you’ll never regret. Get ready to see over 400 species of fish and at least 70 types of hard coral, plus a variety of large sponges and gorgonians.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><a href="http://www.dailyscubadiving.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/Belize-diving.jpg" rel="lightbox[3517]"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-3522" title="Belize diving" src="http://www.dailyscubadiving.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/Belize-diving.jpg" alt="" width="400" height="300" /></a></p>
<h2 style="text-align: justify;">Malta</h2>
<p style="text-align: justify;">If you are looking for the ultimate Mediterranean diving experience in winter, consider Malta diving holidays. The clear and tideless waters of Malta teem with stunning underwater life, and there are also fascinating wrecks that have been cleaned and sunk at various diving sites around Malta. Do not miss out the scenic dives at locations like the Comino Caves and Lantern Point.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><a href="http://www.dailyscubadiving.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/diving-in-Malta.jpg" rel="lightbox[3517]"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-3523" title="diving in Malta" src="http://www.dailyscubadiving.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/diving-in-Malta.jpg" alt="" width="400" height="300" /></a></p>
<h2 style="text-align: justify;">Arctic Circle</h2>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Winter diving in Arctic Circle offers endless crisp air and snowy shorelines. Moreover, it can sometimes bring you up close with icebergs, scattered in a blue and white world of extreme clarity that often exceeds 40-50m. If you are crazy enough to do it, do not look further and head to Arctic Circle – the area surrounding the north pole of earth.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><a href="http://www.dailyscubadiving.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/arctic-circle-diving.jpg" rel="lightbox[3517]"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-3524" title="arctic circle diving" src="http://www.dailyscubadiving.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/arctic-circle-diving.jpg" alt="" width="400" height="300" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">To keep warm while winter diving, pay attention to the following <a href="http://www.dailyscubadiving.com/scuba-diving-tips-improve-your-skills/" target="_blank">tips</a>:</p>
<ul>
<li>Make sure your regulator is rated for cold water. This is required when diving in water less than 6°C.</li>
<li>Dive in a dry suit. A good under-suit combined with a dry suit will keep the cold out. Do not forget about special training while diving in a dry suit.</li>
<li>Put on dry, semi-dry or wet dive gloves.</li>
<li>Dive with a hood to make your adventure comfortable. A good hood should be at least 3mm thick and fit snugly.</li>
</ul>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Diving in winter truly has much to offer but you will never appreciate it unless you give it a try!</p>

			</a>
		</div>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Coral Sea is known as one of the planet’s greatest biodiversity hotspots and if you are a bit adventurous, a trip to the Coral Sea Reefs might just be the best trip for you.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">But wait, Australian government has come out with a proposal to establish the world’s biggest marine protection zone, planned to cover an area the size of Britain and France combined (989,842 square kilometers).</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><a href="http://www.dailyscubadiving.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/Coral-Reef.jpg" rel="lightbox[3493]"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-3494" title="Coral-Reef" src="http://www.dailyscubadiving.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/Coral-Reef.jpg" alt="" width="450" height="300" /></a></p>
<p>Found off the northeast coast of Australia, which stretches from the Great Barrier Reef to <a href="http://www.tropicalparadise.net/papua-new-guinea.html" target="_blank">Papua New Guinea</a> in the north and the <a href="http://www.tropicalparadise.net/solomon-islands.html" target="_blank">Solomon Islands</a> in the east, the proposed Coral Sea Commonwealth Marine Reserve is home to many unique and endangered species. In fact, it’s one of the last remaining places brimming with large predatory fish, including sharks and tuna.</p>
<p>&#8216;Only in the Coral Sea you’ll find so diverse array of coral reefs, sandy cays and deep-sea canyons,’ said Tony Burke, the Environment Minister.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.dailyscubadiving.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/coral-sea.jpg" rel="lightbox[3493]"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-3495" title="coral sea" src="http://www.dailyscubadiving.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/coral-sea.jpg" alt="" width="450" height="292" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Under the plan new fishing limits would be imposed and exploration for oil and gas banned.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Environmental groups think the proposal is a good start but, according to them, protection levels need to be stronger, especially in vulnerable places, to guarantee the Coral Sea’s long-term protection.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The proposal announced is now open for a 3-month comment period by the government and if the plan approved, the current world’s largest marine reserve – a 545,000 sq. km area established by the UK around the Chagos Islands in the Indian Ocean will no longer be the biggest.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><a href="http://www.dailyscubadiving.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/coral-sea-fish.jpg" rel="lightbox[3493]"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-3496" title="coral-sea fish" src="http://www.dailyscubadiving.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/coral-sea-fish.jpg" alt="" width="450" height="300" /></a></p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">While exploring the underwater Mayan ceremonial site of Samabaj discovered in picturesque lake Atitlan, Guatemala, some 14 years ago, scuba divers came across with artifacts from ancient Mayan ruins, dating back 200-300 B.C. to 300 A.D., which means that these wonderful items have been preserved for 2,000 or 2,200 years.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><a href="http://www.dailyscubadiving.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/pottery-found-in-lake-Atitlan.jpg" rel="lightbox[3481]"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-3482" title="pottery found in lake Atitlan" src="http://www.dailyscubadiving.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/pottery-found-in-lake-Atitlan.jpg" alt="" width="400" height="300" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The pieces are of different types and sizes with detail of carvings and color still evident, which is truly amazing. You can see incense burners that are some 1.5 meters high and have four exclusive cardinal points, as well as other remarkable pieces of pottery that are now housed in Museo Lacustre Lago de Atitlan.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Lake Atitlan is of volcanic origin and was formed some 85,000 years ago due to a tremendous eruption, which left a large caldera that later was filled with water. The thing is that researchers believe the artifacts once found fifty feet below Atitlan’s surface, were housed on an island until the catastrophic event raised the water level, drowning out the ancient pilgrimage site of Samabaj.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><a href="http://www.dailyscubadiving.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/lake-atitlan.jpg" rel="lightbox[3481]"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-3483" title="lake atitlan" src="http://www.dailyscubadiving.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/lake-atitlan.jpg" alt="" width="400" height="300" /></a></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The investigations are still in process and the exact location of the site remains a closely guarded secret, since archeologists want to avoid looters who sometimes fish in the ruins. But let’s hope that after finishing the through check, this Mayan site will be open for curious international visitors.</p>
