My husband and I found Belize to be magnificent diving-better than Honduras & Grand Cayman..and no more expensive than diving in either of the other two locations. The water is the perfect temperature, is clear, and teeming with loads of marine life. On our two dives, we encountered nurse sharks, eagle rays, moray eels, spiny lobsters, sea turtles & barracuda, just to name a few. The coral was dazzling & came in an amazing array of colors! Perhaps the dive shop or group you go out with makes the difference, but we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and plan on diving Belize again!

A couple of points I'd like to make is that Diving is nowhere near as energy burning as Squash or Badminton, unless you stand still and just tap the shuttle/ball back. I am an active badminton player (club level) and a commercial diver. I'd burn more calories playing 1 hour of badminton as I would in 3 hours of cold water diving in a strong current. It'd be better compared to a slow walk on the flat.

As to nutrition, do not eat anything before a dive you wouldn't normally eat. It's better to eat what you know. As to eating after diving, do not eat anything more than normal. Your body will naturally feel hungry after being in the water, best option is to eat a piece of fruit and drink some water and wait till meal time when you should always eat a balanced meal.

Scuba Diving Hand Signals are very important because we can not talk during underwater, we can see and listen while we are diving. The communication medium underwater is water, sound also is not accurate and sometimes we do not the direction from the sound come. The best is hand signals way of communication, but you must remember alert and always know where is your buddy, do not too far from your buddy and keep your eye alert. From the first level, the hand signal will be thought until refresh and refresh every time to dive. So, keep in your mind the important hand signals while scuba diving.
