Great review Jamie
I fully agree with you about the look of the Suunto Vyper Air, compared to the previous Vyper and Vyper 2 and you definantly have to have a lot of patience with the compass, as it can be tricky.
I recently purchased one online for £300, which to some people may seem a bit expensive, but with the amount of technology it possesses, it was a good buy.
I was really impressed with the diving simulator, as it let's me analyse time data for different depths, and as mentioned above can be downloaded to you PC with the "DM4 with Movescount" software.

All in all, I'm very pleased with the Suunto Vyper Air and makes my dives a lot easier.

Weather can be a problem in Roatan; I've made at least five dive trips there, and twice (in summer and winter) I encountered days on end of rain and rough weather. Underwater, however, it's as serene as can be, although visibility is sometimes restricted.

I have owned the Tissot Sea-T-ouch for more than 2 years now.
even before ordering the watch i had the Tissot factory in Switzerland confirm that the watch is def water resistant to 200m which is also clearly machined into the back of the watch.

I it a truly eye-catcher, but what makes it perfect is really that it works so beautifully. even under water use is trouble-free and no threat to the watch because of the ingenius way of constructing the buttons - just get yourself one!

to put it right: titanium is better compared to low-budget steel - but this watch is made from 1 high grade quality steel block and is just as good as any titanium watch :-) I think that the heavier weight adds to the quality feel also (it is no heavier than my seamaster or Oris 1000m diver) but wearing the sea-touch makes people ask if I am a diver, the other watches not :-)

this is by far the most interesting watch I have owned...

Hello,

I'll be in south India in February and would like to do some diving 2- 3 days only. I have an advanced open water certificate.
I can't find recent information about the bleaching in Andaman islands and what I did found doesn't sound very good. Do you know something?
the other option is Lakswaddep Islands - is there a bleaching problem too?
I'll appreciate your answer
thank you
Vera

I would like to add that scuba diving in the Caribbean is very prone to dry versus hurricane season. June to October are the months you prefer not to be anywhere in the Caribbean. It is more quiet from November to May.

It wasn't until I bought the SeaTouch that I began to realise how much women notice your watch.

They don't comment but they look.

Wish I had one 20 years ago

I am writing to enquire about any last-minute live-aboards (or alternatively land-base) diving program for one (photographer) or two-divers for about one week to 10 days in the period around Christmas and New Year.

Thanks!

The diving in Roatan is great, but slightly expensive. Those interested in a cheaper alternative should visit Utilla, the second largest island of Honduras with the same amount of diving, the same marine life allthough slightly less impressive. Utilla is more the backpackers variant of Roatan.
