A couple of points I'd like to make is that Diving is nowhere near as energy burning as Squash or Badminton, unless you stand still and just tap the shuttle/ball back. I am an active badminton player (club level) and a commercial diver. I'd burn more calories playing 1 hour of badminton as I would in 3 hours of cold water diving in a strong current. It'd be better compared to a slow walk on the flat.

As to nutrition, do not eat anything before a dive you wouldn't normally eat. It's better to eat what you know. As to eating after diving, do not eat anything more than normal. Your body will naturally feel hungry after being in the water, best option is to eat a piece of fruit and drink some water and wait till meal time when you should always eat a balanced meal.
